در این مقاله، مسئله ورود به آب یک پرتابه کروی به صورت عددی و آزمایشگاهی شبیه­سازی شده است. برای مدل­سازی اندرکنش بین سازه و سیال، یک تحلیل دینامیکی صریح با استفاده از فورمول­بندی کوپل اویلرین - لاگرانژین که در نرم­افزار اجزای محدود آباکوس موجود است، به کار گرفته شده است. مقایسه نتایج شبیه­سازی عددی و آزمایشگاهی مربوط به تغییرات جابجایی و سرعت پرتابه کروی در عمق آب بر حسب زمان با نتایج تئوری، تطابق خوب این نتایج با یکدیگر و دقت و کاربرد الگوریتم عددی مورد استفاده را آشکار می­سازد. نتایج نشان داد که زمان جدایش حباب، تابع ضعیفی از جرم پرتابه و سرعت برخورد آن با سطح آزاد آب است؛ اما عمق جدایش حباب با افزایش این مولفه­ها، به طور قابل توجه­ای افزایش می­یابد. همچنین افزایش جرم پرتابه تاثیر نامحسوسی بر استهلاک انرژی ویسکوزیته دارد؛ در حالی که افزایش سرعت برخورد پرتابه با سطح آزاد آب منجر به کاهش استهلاک انرژی می­شود.
