Jacket foundations for offshore wind turbines are typically designed according to standards for oil rig jackets, which makes them relatively conservative. Therefore, optimizing these structures to reduce costs and material usage is logical. Moreover, more important than saving material is identifying an appropriate geometry and optimal arrangement of members to ensure improved performance under applied loads. This paper addresses the parametric assessment of the geometry of a jacket foundation for an offshore wind turbine, considering wave and current forces. The objective function is defined as the simultaneous improvement of structural stiffness and redundancy while maintaining constant weight. The design variables include the slope of the jacket's base and the arrangement of braces. The design criteria are established according to relevant standards. Finally, using Abaqus software and nonlinear static analysis, various parameters—including strength, ductility, normalized energy, redundancy coefficients, and normalized redundancy degrees—are investigated, and 24 design models with equal weight are compared. The results indicate that an increased jacket slope enhances strength, ductility, normalized energy, and redundancy. Additionally, the most effective brace arrangements are identified based on the aforementioned criteria.
