تخمین نیروهای هیدرودینامیکی ناشی از حرکت شناور بر روی موج و پاسخ ارتعاشی ناشی از آن دارای اهمیت بسیار بالایی در طراحی سازه شناور است. در این مقاله تحلیل مودال و تحلیل نیرویی بارهای وارده بر شناور کاتاماران در دامنه فرکانس و زمان و در جهت هیو و پیچ شناور و با در نظر گرفتن میرایی ذاتی بدنه صورت گرفته است. در این تحلیل‌ها نیروهای وارده بر شناور از قبیل فرود-کریلوف، تفرق، جرم و میرایی افزوده در فضای فرکانس و زمان موردبررسی قرار می‌گیرد. در ادامه با استفاده از روش المان محدود و به‌کارگیری روش تعامل سازه-سیال، حرکت شناور بر روی امواج منظم مدل‌سازی می‌شود. با بررسی نتایج شبیه‌سازی و مقایسه آن با روش‌های عددی- تجربی گذشته، می‌توان دریافت که نتایج به‌دست‌آمده دارای تطابق مناسب و خطای کمتر از 10 درصد است لذا می‌توان از روش ارائه‌شده به‌منظور تخمین نیروهای وارده بر شناور استفاده نمود.
