در مبدل­های دو بدنه­ای جاذب نقطه­ای موج، جابجایی نسبی بدنه شناور و مغروق عامل اصلی تولید جریان الکتریسته می­باشد. هندسه بدنه شناور نسبت به بدنه مغروق تاثیر بیشتری بر میزان انرژی استحصالی می­گذارد. دو بدنه مغروق و شناور بوسیله سیستم فنر- میراگرخطی به یکدیگر متصل می­شود و کل سیستم مبدل به وسیله مهارهای کتنری به بستر دریا وصل شده­است. با توجه به تاثیر مستقیم محاسبه ضرایب هیدرودینامیکی در حل معادلات دینامیکی، در تحقیق حاضر به محاسبه جرم­افزوده و میرایی به روش المان مرزی با استفاده از نرم­افزار انسیس-­اکوا پرداخته شده است. همچنین تاثیر هندسه بویه شناور بر میزان  پارامترهای هیدرودینامیکی و توان تولید انرژی از مبدل، با آنالیز در حوزه زمان و فرکانس صورت گرفته است. مقایسه نتایج عددی، با نتایج مدل آزمایشگاهی که در سال 2011 توسط محققین دانشگاه سندیاگو انجام شد، صحت مدلسازی عددی انجام شده را نشان­می­دهد. با توجه به نتایج با افزایش  قطر بویه شناور، توان خروجی نیز افزایش خواهد یافت به شکلی که به ازای هر 2 متر افزایش قطر بویه توان تولید انرژی به اندازه 20 درصد زیاد می‌شود. بررسی‌های انجام‌شده نشان می‌دهد برای بویه شناور میزان توان تولید انرژی با هندسه نیم مخروطی 17 درصد بیشتر از هندسه نیمکروی می­باشد.
