موج‌شکنها در طول تاریخچه ساخت خود دستخوش تغییراتی شدهاند. این تغییرات بسته به شرایط محیطی و کاربری، با هدف بهبود عملکرد آن­ها بوده است. روگذری به عنوان یکی از پارامترهای هیدرولیکی مهم در عملکرد موجشکنها همواره مورد ارزیابی و بهینهسازی قرار گرفته است. در این مطالعه به بررسی روگذری امواج از موج­شکن سکویی مرکب به عنوان موج­شکنی نوین، پرداخته شده است. مدلسازی عددی با استفاده از نرم افزار FLOW-3D انجام گرفته است. جهت اطمینان از عملکرد مدل عددی نتایج آن با دادههای آزمایشگاهی موجود، مورد واسنجی و صحتسنجی قرار گرفته است. پس از اطمینان از عملکرد مدل عددی، موج­شکن سکویی مرکب در سه حالت طراحی شده است. نتایج میزان روگذری امواج از موج­شکن سکویی مرکب با موج شکن توده سنگی و کیسونی افقی بررسی و مقایسه شده است. نتایج حاکی از کاهش به ترتیب 84/01 و 61/42 درصدی میزان روگذری در موج شکن سکویی مرکب، نسبت به موج شکن توده سنگی و کیسونی افقی دارد.
