انرژی باد دریایی یکی از اصلی‌ترین منابع انرژی تجدیدپذیر است که باعث گسترش روزافزون مزارع بادی دریایی در سطح جهان شده است. یکی از چالش‌های مهم برای پروژه‌ های باد فراساحلی، هزینه ساخت ‌و ساز فونداسیون آن است که بسته به موقعیت و نوع توربین بادی، حدود 16 تا 34 درصد کل هزینه را در بر می‌گیرد. بنابراین، طراحی مناسب فونداسیون‌ها برای اطمینان از کارایی بهتر توربین‌های بادی دریایی بسیار مهم است. فونداسیون پیشنهادی در این تحقیق شامل یک فونداسیون هایبریدی مونوپایل-پی سطحی است که در بخشی از مونوپایل آن به جای مقاطع فولادی رایج، از مقاطع CFDST استفاده شده است. تحلیل دینامیکی فونداسیون مورد نظر تحت بارهای محیطی با استفاده از نرم افزار المان محدود آباکوس انجام شده است. نتایج نشان می‌دهد استفاده از مقاطع CFDST علاوه بر اینکه می‌تواند امکان کاهش قطر مونوپایل را فراهم کند، اضافه کردن پی سطحی به مونوپایل، سختی جانبی بیشتری را برای شمع در تراز بستر ایجاد می‌کند و جابه‌جایی جانبی آن را نیز کاهش می‌دهد. همچنین با مقایسه فرکانس‌های طبیعی توربین‌های بادی متکی بر فونداسیون پیشنهادی، مشخص شد که این سازه‌ها در محدوده مجاز فرکانسی قرار می‌گیرند و خطر تشدید آنها را تهدید نمی‌کند.
